Cavender’s headed west for the 2019 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

January 4, 2019

December is synonymous with the holiday season. But before decking the halls and spreading Christmas cheer, thousands of rodeo fans from across the world flocked to Las Vegas for the most wonderful time of the year, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. And this year Cavender’s headed west to be part of the historic festivities.

However, it’s not just about the rodeo action, it’s also the largest western shopping event in the world. If you can dream it, Cowboy Christmas has got it. It’s the ultimate holiday shopping experience for people of all ages. Not a big shopper? There are plenty of interactive experiences including the Speed Williams’ Speed Zone Presented by Cavender’s, Jr. National Rodeo Finals, and more!

Get a glimpse of our week at Cowboy Christmas including a visit by 2017 PBR World Champion Jess Lockwood who stopped by to sign autographs for fans.

The future of rodeo also headed to Las Vegas for a week of competition at the Jr. National Finals Rodeo. This year we had the privilege of outfitting two Texas cowboys, Johnny Horn and Kaden Mantooth of Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch as they competed for the biggest title of their careers. Follow the journey of these two remarkable cowboys who are bonded through a sport that can often be unforgiving yet humbling and rewarding. Watch the full story here.

One of the most talked about events of the week was the 5th Annual Hooey Party Presented by Pendleton Whisky. We saw the latest fashion trends on the Cavender’s Turquoise Carpet before party-goers enjoyed an unforgettable night of dancing and music by the Turnpike Troubadours and Corb Lund.

The National Finals Rodeo title wasn’t the only world championship up for grabs in Las Vegas. Bullfighters from around the country stepped in the arena to go head-to-head with the nation’s meanest fighting bulls to have their shot at a world title. In the end, Weston Rutkowski impressed to claim his third straight championship.

We are grateful for our time at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo but ready to return in 2019 bigger and better than ever. What do we have up our sleeves? Just wait and see.
