How do you honor the legacy of a man with more than 50 years in the boot business? This question sparked the desire to create JRC & Sons boots – a new brand with an old soul.

History

JRC & Sons boots were created in 2020 by Joe, Mike, and Clay Cavender to honor their dad, James Cavender. James built the family business from one little Western store in Pittsburg, Texas to more than 95 stores across the country. James had an incredible work ethic and believed in doing things the right way. He could spot quality and true value in goods from a mile away. Unfortunately, he never got to build his own boot, his own way. To honor him and his passion, Joe, Mike, and Clay set out to create JRC & Sons boots.

It is evident that James Cavender was the inspiration for JRC & Sons, from the name to the logo. The logo features a quail head, which may seem out-of-place at first, but it comes from James’ love of quail hunting. James shared his love for hunting with his family, his friends, and many partners in the Western industry, so it was only fitting to include the quail head as homage to one of James’ passions.

Designed in their hometown of Tyler, Texas, JRC & Sons boots are designed with quality in mind. With over 50 years in the boot business going into designing and making these boots, you can be sure to expect high-quality, a great price and more from these boots. These materials ranging from Genuine Full Quill Ostrich from South Africa to Original Mad Dog Goat from the UK to Ranch Hand Calf, as well as Premium Burnished Cowhide and Water-Resistant Suede from the US. In addition to premium quality materials, all JRC & Sons boots are handmade, creating a true level of quality only hands-on craftsmanship can deliver.
